Peter Limonov studied piano at the Central Music School in Moscow, graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and did his postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music under Dmitry Alexeev.
He was awarded the First Prize at the Nikolai Rubinstein Piano Competition in Paris 1998; his notable appearances include The Great Hall of Moscow Conservatoire, Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre, Cadogan Hall, Salle Cortot, iTunes Festival, a recital at the Duke’s Hall in the presence of Prince Charles and a solo appearance at the prestigious La Roque d’Antheron Festival.
Peter broadcasted for Russian TV Channel “Culture”, BBC 2, Radio France, Voice of Israel and BBC Radio 3. He has recently recorded with the violinist Nicola Benedetti for Decca Classics and with Leonard Elschenbroich for Onyx. Peter is a principal conductor of the London International Chamber Orchestra.
